$TIMER Version 0.1 By Joshua Chan December 1995 Background ---------- $TIMER helps you to keep track of charges accumulated while conencted to on-line services. $TIMER keeps track of peak hours, weekends and public holidays too. This product was inspired by STIMER, from Lucas (http://singnet.com.sg/~lucas). Instructions ------------ For $TIMER to be as accurate as possible, start $TIMER before you start your on-line connection software. Click on the Setup button to configure the following: Peak hours -- The time range when the service charges a different rate. Saturday hours -- The above time range on Saturdays. Connection rates -- The rates in dollars per minute. Application -- The name of your on-line connection software. Load on startup -- If you want to launch the on-line connection immediately when you load $TIMER. Holidays -- Dates of public holidays when charges are off-peak only. Note that you can also use $TIMER to time your usage of other applications, not just on-line connections. Register -------- This version of $TIMER is shareware.
